Attio implementation partner

Updated · June 2026

The partner you bring in to build the whole thing, not advise on it. We design the data model, migrate your history, wire the automations, then hand you admin access and the documentation. One firm price, a dated handover, and methods proven on live pipelines where a wrong record costs real money.

TL;DR

An Attio implementation partner takes the build off your plate end to end: audit, data model, migration, automations, integrations, training, handover. The honest filter is irreversibility, the more writes in your project that are expensive to undo (a migration with years of history, automations writing into production records, a multi-entity model), the stronger the case for a partner over DIY. Our builds are one firm amount from 8,000 EUR, ongoing operation from 3,500 EUR per month, and the first step is a free 30-minute diagnostic where "you do not need us yet" is a real answer. We are an independent studio, not an Attio reseller, so our advice carries no licence commission.

01 · Definition

What does an Attio implementation partner actually do?

An Attio implementation partner owns your CRM build from end to end: auditing your current setup, designing the data model, migrating your history, wiring automations and integrations, then training your team and handing over admin access plus documentation. A consultant advises; a partner delivers the working system and is accountable for it shipping.

The word "partner" gets used three ways in the Attio ecosystem, and they are not the same purchase. An app partner builds an integration that plugs into Attio. An expert partner is a name in Attio's directory. An implementation partner is who you hire to build and migrate your workspace so it carries real revenue on day one. This page is about the third. We build and operate production Attio systems, including a deployment for a PE and M&A investment fund where Attio runs 24 workflows around the clock and gets written to by automations that are checked before they touch a record. If you want the advisory version, that is our Attio consultant page; if you want the mechanics of the build itself, the five phases are broken down on Attio implementation.

02 · The honest filter

When you need an implementation partner, and when you do not

We turn down work when the honest answer is "do it yourself". Attio's own onboarding is genuinely good for a small team with one standard pipeline and a clean start. The test is not company size, it is how many operations in your project are expensive to undo. A bad list view costs ten minutes. A bad migration, a wrong mass update, or an automation writing fiction into thousands of records costs weeks and the team's trust in the CRM. The table is the filter we give every prospect before money moves.

Your situationDo it yourselfBring in a partner
Standard pipeline, under 10 seats, fresh start A weekend with Attio templates. Genuinely fine. Overkill. Keep the budget for outbound.
Migration with years of history from HubSpot or Salesforce Field mapping and dedup quietly eat weeks; cutover risk lands on you. Cleaned first, dry runs on a copy, verified cutover, history preserved.
Custom objects and relations (funds, LPs, partners, multi-entity) Possible, but model mistakes surface around month six and are costly to unwind. Senior modeling up front, decisions documented, model survives growth.
Automations or AI agents writing into the CRM Works until it fails silently and pollutes thousands of records. Verified writes, monitoring, rollback plans.
A date by which it must work Hope. A scoped plan with a dated handover.

Still unsure which row you are in? The free 30-minute diagnostic exists precisely to settle that before anything is signed.

03 · Process

How we run a done-for-you Attio implementation

Same five phases as our full implementation process, here from the partner's accountability angle: what we own, what you sign off, and where the irreversible work sits. Durations assume a 10 to 50 person revenue team. The order never changes. Build before audit is how implementations fail.

01

Audit and data model

3 to 5 days

We interview the people who live in the pipeline, export the current CRM, and map the motion that actually exists: stages people really use, fields really filled, reports anyone really opens. Output is an object map for Attio and an explicit written list of what will not be migrated. This phase decides the whole project; when an implementation fails, the failure was almost always signed off here, usually by skipping it.

02

Workspace build

4 to 6 days

The workspace gets built empty first: standard and custom objects, lists as views on shared records rather than copies, pipeline stages, scoped permissions, and the screens each role opens in the morning. On the fund deployment we rebuilt the pipeline board from scratch and populated an owner on 71 of 71 deals, because a board where deals belong to nobody is decoration, not a system.

03

Migration, cleaned first

3 to 8 days

History moves, noise stays behind. Deduplication before import, dry runs on a copy, then a verified cutover with record counts checked on both sides. On one HubSpot cleanup for a B2B SaaS scale-up, the audit found that of 247 leads in the funnel only 5 were real signatures, with deals marked won that kept falling back out of the pipe, all surfaced and corrected before anything moved, and zero deals accidentally marked won. Coming from a known platform? The playbooks are in our HubSpot to Attio and Salesforce to Attio guides.

04

Automations and integrations

1 to 2 weeks

Native Attio workflows for what lives inside the CRM, n8n or Make for what crosses systems, the REST API for the rest. We wire enrichment, outbound, billing and support to one shared truth, Lemlist, Clay, Stripe, Pennylane, PandaDoc, Intercom or Zendesk depending on your stack, and for agentic workflows we use Deepline. Every automated write passes a verification step; the fund's meeting-extraction pipeline runs a second adversarial pass that rejects anything the meeting did not actually say.

05

Training and handover

2 to 3 days

You get the keys, not a dependency. Written documentation of the data model and every automation, a runbook for known failure modes, and live training, recorded for the next hire. At the end you hold admin access and we hold nothing you cannot revoke. Continued operation is an optional run engagement, never a hidden obligation.

04 · Proof

Real systems, real numbers, no logos

We do not publish client names. These figures are real and we will walk you through the systems behind them on a call. Each links to the anonymized case.

Case · PE / M&A investment fund · Attio

A CRM that updates itself, with proof required

24 Attio workflows in production. A post-meeting pipeline extracts participants, amounts and next steps into structured records, with an adversarial second pass that rejects anything not actually said. Cross-email deduplication resolves the Calendly booking identity against the LinkedIn identity, 953 stale profiles were identified and flagged for targeted re-enrichment rather than a blanket refresh, and the reporting layer of nine views and a seven-chart dashboard was built entirely through the API. Case · B2B SaaS scale-up · Migration hygiene

The audit a migration deserves before it starts

Funnel hygiene before any data moved: of 247 leads that entered the funnel, 13 were marked won and only 5 were real signatures, with a median 102 days stuck in the SQL stage that no one had measured. The lifecycle was split from the pipeline and the stages cleaned to six; 35,788 contacts excluded from communications, 143 lifecycles corrected, 158 dead deals closed as lost, every write verified before and after, with zero deals accidentally marked won. Three more live systems: a multichannel SaaS where we shipped a Salesforce integration serving 340 paying teams, an IT leasing firm where we repaired Google Ads attribution end to end, and a health scale-up where we built fit-and-engagement scoring and churn detection. Funds specifically should also see Attio for VC.

05 · How to choose

How to choose an Attio implementation partner

Look for three things a serious Attio implementation partner can show before you sign: production references you can be walked through, a written list of what will not be migrated, and a handover plan with dates. The young Attio ecosystem means most large agencies run a one-certification-deep practice on a reskinned HubSpot playbook; the patterns that matter only come from operating live workspaces.

PRODUCTION REFERENCES

Built, not just badged

A directory listing proves a relationship with Attio, not that they have migrated years of history without losing a deal. Ask to be walked through a live system. Ours are the cases above, with the numbers and the architecture behind them.

SCOPE IN WRITING

What will not be migrated

The single best signal of a competent partner is a written exclusion list before the build: the dead fields, zombie automations and contacts nobody should email again that stay behind. Vague scope is how a fixed price becomes a moving one.

A DATED HANDOVER

Dependency is not a deliverable

Some implementers keep documentation thin on purpose, because dependency is a revenue model. Ask for the handover plan, with dates, before signing. Ours is a contract phase: documentation, runbook, training, your admin access confirmed before the project is closed.

06 · Independence

Why an independent partner beats a reseller

One detail buyers miss: some partners earn a commission on the licences they sell you, which quietly shapes their advice. We are an independent studio. You pay Attio directly for licences and us for the build, so when the diagnostic shows your motion actually points to HubSpot or Salesforce, we say so, we operate both. We are in the process of being listed on Attio's expert directory, and we will not claim an official partner badge until we hold one; what we hold today is production systems we can show you. And the person who scopes your project is the person who ships it, no senior-sells-junior-builds switch.

07 · Pricing

What an Attio implementation partner costs

A done-for-you Attio implementation from Buildrhaus starts at 8,000 EUR as one firm amount covering all five phases: audit, data model, workspace build, migration, automations, documentation and handover. Ongoing operation, if you want it, starts at 3,500 EUR per month. No daily meter, no surprise change orders. The 30-minute diagnostic is free.

Most agencies make you book a call to hear a number. Freelance Attio consultants typically bill 600 to 1,200 EUR per day, which leaves the total open-ended. We quote a single fixed amount after the diagnostic so you see the whole number before committing. The diagnostic itself takes 30 minutes: describe your setup by text or voice note, we come back with findings either way, whether you hire us or not.

08 · FAQ

Attio implementation partner questions, answered straight

What is an Attio implementation partner?
An Attio implementation partner is who you hire to build and migrate your Attio workspace end to end, rather than advise on it. The work covers the data model, migrating your history, automations and integrations, training and a documented handover. It is distinct from an app partner (who builds an integration) and an expert-directory listing (which is a relationship with Attio, not proof of delivery).
Are you an official Attio partner?
Not yet. We are in the process of being listed on Attio's expert directory, and we will not claim an official partner badge until we hold one. We are an independent studio that builds and operates Attio workspaces in production, including a 24-workflow deployment for an investment fund. You pay Attio directly for licences and us for the build, so our advice carries no resale commission and no incentive to push licences you do not need.
How much does an Attio implementation partner cost?
Our builds start at 8,000 EUR as one firm amount covering audit, data model, workspace build, migration, automations, documentation and handover. Ongoing operation starts at 3,500 EUR per month if you want it. Everything is quoted as a single fixed number after a free diagnostic, with no daily meter. Freelance consultants typically bill 600 to 1,200 EUR per day, which we deliberately avoid.
How do I choose between an implementation partner, a consultant, and doing it myself?
Count the operations in your project that are expensive to undo. A small team with one standard pipeline and a clean start should do it themselves with Attio's templates. If you need design advice or a second opinion, hire a consultant. If you have history to migrate, systems to integrate and a deadline, hire a partner to build it. The free diagnostic settles which one you are.
Can you migrate us from HubSpot or Salesforce?
Yes. Migration is a core phase and we clean before we move. On a recent HubSpot cleanup for a B2B SaaS scale-up, of 247 leads that entered the funnel only 5 were real signatures, with deals marked won that kept falling back out of the pipe, all surfaced and corrected before anything migrated. The platform playbooks are in our HubSpot to Attio and Salesforce to Attio guides.
Who owns the workspace after handover?
You do. At handover you hold admin access, written documentation of the data model and every automation, and a runbook for known failure modes. Our access is scoped and revocable at any time. Continued operation is an optional engagement, never a dependency, that is the test of whether the work is actually finished.
